Floor water fountains are one of the best interior design accessories you can have in your entire interior design planning. These types of fountains are great for fillers in to any spaces and at the same time add great amount of interest to the space.
Depending upon the style of your interior design a variety of designs are available in the market today. As the name suggest floor water fountains are stand alone fountains and can occupy almost any space indoors or outdoors.
While choosing a floor water fountain make sure you first have a look at the complete interior design style of your home or landscaping style of your garden if you plan to use it outdoors.
For example if you find a water fountain in the shape of a decorative butterfly but your interior design style is a contemporary one, then it’s a mismatch in the design style. For the contemporary or modern design styles the fountain must have clear and straight lines so that the entire visual balance of the design remains intact.
Floor water fountains can be best used in areas where a temporary partition is required such as areas between the living room and the dining area or also in commercial spaces such as waiting lobbies and work areas
Thus floor water fountains come in a variety of materials designs and can be use almost anywhere indoors and outdoors.
Hi, I somewhat agree with you here. Actually I was using an indoor fountain in my home for a few months but the biggest problem was cleaning it regularly and changing it’s water. I was a small fountain with LED lights and my daughter loved it a lot. If maintained these things are really cool. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Hi Sally, yes, sometimes it’s difficult to maintain these water features. Of course that depends on the particular. But the value addition you get by having just one of these in your home interiors is simply amazing. Even my kids love these and I bribe them for a chocolate to clean these every week
I had a beautiful indoor fountain about 2 feet tall in the form of a statue. It was a woman’s statue with a tilting pot held with two hands and the water from the pot used to fall into the bottom reservoir. Unfortunately the statue cracked because of my jumping dog. I could not find the same design anywhere else. It’s true that these accessories add an amazing ambience to your house. Your blog has inspired me to look for a similar fountain once again. Thanks a lot for sharing.
The office where I work has a wall fountain, which separates the waiting area and the rest of the space inside. Though such types of big fountains are not recommended for homes it’s still a nice idea. I’m trying to build a smaller version in my backyard garden. Will definitely read rest of your blog for some tips. Thanks a lot for sharing this information.
Nice information. Even I’m be looking for a small fountain for my home interiors. I like the wall curtain types though. But these require some more space and budget. Thanks for this great information
