The functioning of an indoor water fountain is very simple to understand. The basic structure of any indoor fountain has three parts which function simultaneously to form a beautiful visual and audible display in any interior space.
1) Water reservoir – this is the first component of any fountain. The water is stored in this reservoir or collector and finally arrives into this itself after flowing through the cascade. The fountain pump is submersed into this collator and is not visible from outside. By submerging the pump into the water it helps in reducing the noise of the fountain pump drastically and forms a calm and serene atmosphere.
2) Water fountain pump – This is the second and the most important elements in a water fountain. Depending upon the size of your fountain a proper pump must be purchased. Normally the pump is already present in the fountain assembly when you purchase the fountain. Typically for an indoor fountain a pump which can throw 50-100 gallons per hour (GPH) of water is recommended.
3) Water cascade – This is visual element of the fountain and this is what makes the fountain very attractive. Most people buy a fountain by looking at the water cascade design and hoe attractive it looks once water starts flowing through it.
Thus indoor water fountains are one of the best interior design accessories you can have in your home in an attempt to create habitable and healthy living spaces.
